Initial Overhead Crane Operator Course with Hoisting, Rigging & Material Handling.

This course is designed to provide Crane Operators with the minimum industry training requirements to ensure safe and efficient operations. The course focuses on providing the foundation for meeting compliance requirements of CSA B167-96 & 08 Overhead Traveling Cranes. ASME B-30.2

Upon completion of the online portion, a practical evaluation is required to be booked with ACTI in order to receive your certificate.

The in-person practical portion is ½ day of practical evaluation (depending on how many students have registered for the course will determine the amount of instructional time required to complete the course).

The course contains the following. A calculation quiz, signal quiz, and theory-exam online portion. The Practical evaluation is a minimum of 4 hours, with thorough hands-on testing, operator, rigging, and signal skills learned from the theory portion of the training. Passing grade is a minimum of 70% on the Theory and 70% on the Practical Evaluation. Successful participants will be issued an Overhead Crane Operator Hoisting & Rigging certificate valid for 3 years.

Once expired we offer a Refresher Overhead Crane Operator Hoisting, Rigging & Material Handling Course (see below), valid for 3 years.

Refresher Overhead Crane Operator Course with Hoisting, Rigging & Material Handling

This course is designed for individuals who have already taken our Initial Overhead Crane Operator Hoisting, Rigging & Material Handling Course prior to the expiry date.

Once the refresher course is expired the participants will have to take the full course over.
